BryterCX Gives Back to Local Area Title I School in Need

Last week, BryterCX delivered over $2,400 in school supply donations to Rose Stein Elementary of Lakewood. The supplies will be distributed to the nearly 300 enrolled students ranging from preschool to 6th grade. As a Title I school, the faculty and staff support many of its students with a 90% free or reduced lunch program. Approximately 50% of their students are learning English.

Esther Valdez, Principal of Rose Stein Elementary, serves as the school’s family liaison who provides students and families in need with a variety of items including food, school supplies, and clothing.

Valdez illustrates how building partnerships with our community and sharing these relationships with students is very important.

“We appreciate this valuable outreach from BryterCX and other community partners,” Valdez said. “As a diverse community impacted by poverty, trauma, high mobility and academic gaps, we are always looking for volunteers to support learning for our students. All donations and volunteering is appreciated.”

BryterCX chose Rose Stein Elementary School based on a connection Office Manager Laura McBride had with one of the teachers, Olivia Kirshner.

“Having spoken with her in the past, I was aware that this school has a high percentage of low-income families and that the staff and teachers are regularly short on supplies,” Laura said.

When BryterCX’s C3 committee, which organizes community outreach opportunities, expressed an interest in hosting a school supply drive, Laura immediately knew Rose Stein Elementary was the perfect option. The BryterCX C3 team was very excited to be able to support the students with this initiative.

“As we interacted with the school and learned more about their needs, we realized that there are multiple opportunities to develop an ongoing relationship, and we’re excited to brainstorm with the staff about ideas like technology workshops, holiday gift drives, etc.” Laura said. “With the generosity we experienced from our BryterCX team, we believe we have a lot to give to this and other schools in the Denver area.”
